Slowed Economy Has Only Accelerated This Remodeling Entrepreneur

Bethesda, MD – September 21, 2010 – In a down economy leveraging and embracing an entrepreneurial spirit is a necessity for any business to soar. That is precisely why Matt Plaskoff, Owner of Plaskoff Construction and One Week Bath has been named the 2010 Fred Case Remodeling Entrepreneur of the Year. Plaskoff was chosen by a panel of judges from Case Design/Remodeling, Inc., Hanley-Wood and Harvard University's Joint Center for Housing Studies. The judging was based on four principal criteria: business acumen; financial strength, community and industry involvement and entrepreneurial spirit.

"Matt represents not only entrepreneurial thinking but entrepreneurial action which is more important today than ever, remarked Case Co-Chairman and award judge Mark G. Richardson, CR. "He has developed and effectively executed a concept (bathroom remodels completed in a week) that has clearly differentiated himself from others in his market and allowed his business to not only survive but to thrive".

Fred Case, Co-Chairman, CEO and Founder of Case is also very impressed with Plaskoff's professionalism, drive and passion. "His longevity, coupled with his ability to adapt to the marketplace and seize opportunities, positions him as a role model for others."

Plaskoff is the fourth winner of The Fred Case Remodeling Entrepreneur of the Year Award, established and endowed by the founder of Case, one of the largest full-service remodeling companies in the U.S. The award comes with a cash prize of $12,500. Plaskoff was recognized at the 2010 Remodeling Show in Baltimore, MD.
