About Me
Susan Matus is a Senior Project Designer with Case Design/Remodeling. She began her career with a local architecture firm shortly after receiving her Master's Degree in Architecture from the University of Maryland. Early on, her career shifted to focus on residential design and developing creative space solutions for homeowners. She is one of Case's most experienced and top designers with more than 18 years of expertise in the Design/Build Division.
As an advocate of the profession, Susan believes in continuing education. Among her architecture credentials are Certified Remodeler (CR), from the National Association of Remodeling Industry (NARI). She is also an associate member of the American Institute of Architects. In addition, Susan has been awarded Case's Lifetime Achievement Award and was honored as "Designer of the Year" in 2008, as well as other numerous company recognitions. She is often called upon to train her contemporaries within the Case organization and in the industry.
As an award winning designer, Susan has been featured in numerous local and national publications such as The Washington Post, Woman's Day, and Home Magazine. Her work has also appeared in a nationally published book. Currently, she can be seen on HGTV's Remodeling Pro Show, lending her vast knowledge of the remodeling process. Susan resides in Montgomery County, MD, with her husband Rick and two young boys. She is a participant in the activities of her children's elementary school and is also involved with the Montgomery County Swim League.
