Kevin Shore

Kevin Shore

Kevin has been delighting clients with his creative home remodeling designs for his entire professional career. Since graduating from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Kevin has been an integral part of the Case team for the past nine years. What Kevin enjoys most about his role is seeing a client who is excited and happy with their project both with the initial designs and with the finished product. He takes a lot of pride in being a part of that.

In his free time Kevin enjoys spending time outdoors playing golf, tennis and basketball. He also likes running and cycling. He spends many weekends traveling to see friends and family who live within driving distance.


Laura Clem

Laura Clem

Laura is a recent graduate of Arizona State University earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design. After successfully completing an internship with Case in the summer of 2010, she was excited to join Case on a full time basis this past November. Laura is LEED green certified having earned her LEED Green Associate accreditation in May of 2011.

As a designer, the ability to enhance the lives of others is very rewarding to Laura. She believes that having open lines of communication with her clients is essential to ensure that their needs and expectations are met.

Laura recently relocated back to her hometown of McLean, Virginia. When she's not designing, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.


Colleen Shaut

Colleen Shaut

Since graduating from Radford University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, kitchen and bath design has been Colleen's passion. She worked for a tile company for several months after graduating from college and then decided she wanted to expand her creativity into the residential remodeling industry so joined Case in 2005. Since becoming a part of the Case team, she has earned her CKBR (Certified Kitchen and Bath Remodeler) designation from NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry).

Colleen has always been a people person and enjoyed meeting and learning about people. She's come to love the process that we take clients through - from getting to know them individually and understanding their wants and needs in their home, to discovering design solutions that meet their expectations, and then transforming their home into a space that fits their lifestyle both functionally and aesthetically.

Colleen is married to her best friend and co-worker, Neil Shaut. They currently have 2 miniature Australian Shepherds and a baby on the way!

Ashley Fruits, Allied ASID

Ashley Fruits

After graduating from Purdue University with a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Ashley began her career as a designer for a residential interior design/decorating firm in Moultrie, GA. In 2008, she moved from her home state of Indiana to Maryland to become a designer for Case. She has thoroughly enjoyed creating beautiful and functional designs for her clients ever since. She loves that no two projects are ever the same. She enjoys building relationships with clients which also helps her design a personalized space that suites them perfectly.

In her free time Ashley enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, volunteering and playing sports.


Chris Horwitz

Chris Horwitz

Chris is a 2010 graduate with honors from the University of Maryland – College Park with a B.S. in Architecture. His background includes: Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, and Biological Systems Engineering, with special interests in L.E.E.D. (Green) design. During high school, he worked in home construction which sparked his interest in efficient and effective use of space. He furthered his experience as an intern for an architectural firm in Takoma Park, MD.

As a 6th generation Washingtonian, he appreciates the rich heritage our city offers. He grew up in Glen Echo, MD enjoying easy access to art, music, and nature, but his passion is playing the bass guitar and coaching lacrosse.


Kwasi Hemeng

Kwasi Hemeng

Kwasi studied architecture at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana where he earned a BSC. Design in Artchitecture and a Post Graduate Diploma in Architecture. He has been in the home remodeling industry for over eight years, and has been a part of the Case Design Team since 2006. He is Green Advantage Certified in residential construction. Kwasi specializes in large scale residential additions and interior renovations. He enjoys the challenge in finding creative design solutions for his clients.

In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family taking walks in the park, swimming and reading to his little girls.


Samantha Klickna

Samantha Klickna

Samantha holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design from The Art Institute of Washington and is an allied member of ASID. She has been in the residential design industry for six years. The majority of her experience is in bathrooms and kitchens. She has also worked on additions and has expertise in accessible design. She believes that before design there is a passion; an ability to look at a space, raw or developed, and see what it could be. She truly enjoys what she does and loves working with clients to create as pace that they are excited to call their own.

Outside of her professional world, Samantha and her husband like to travel and spend time outdoors with their 2 dogs. They also spend a lot of time remodeling their own home.


TJ Monahan

TJ Monahan

TJ holds both a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architecture and a Masters Degree in Architecture from The Catholic University of America. He loves designing and remodeling houses and has been doing so for about 7 years. He has worked on a wide range of projects including a small bathroom remodel, a 50sf addition, and a 6,000sf new home. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and is passionate about helping families incorporate green components into their projects. When he is not designing houses, he is typically helping people buy and sell them, as he is also a realtor with the largest real estate broker in the DC metro area. His expertise as a realtor helps to ensure renovation projects maximize their investment potential.

When he's not working, he enjoys cooking, sports, and spending time with his wife, Katherine, and Australian Shepherd, Jeter.


Herman Johnson

Herman Johnson

Upon leaving Virginia Tech in 2001, where he studied Architecture, Herman came to Case as an assistant designer and has been working in the residential remodeling field ever since. As a Senior Designer, he enjoys designing the transformation of the existing structure and determining how the new space will impact the family's living there.

Herman and his wife live in Leesburg, VA. They have three children, Alayna, 6 Lilly, 4 and Bradley, 4 months.


Jenny Hernandez

Jenny Hernandez

Jenny is a Certified Kitchen and Bath Remodeler (CKBR) and has been a kitchen and bath designer with Case for the past 5 years. Prior to joining Case she earned her Bachelor's degree in interior design. Her focus is on powder room, guest bathroom, large master bathroom and kitchen remodels. What most excites her about what she does is helping clients see the unexpected possibilities of their space and guiding them through their project to its completion.

In her free time Jenny enjoys visiting art museums as well as cooking and baking challenging dishes.
